Analyzing the Bill of Rights in Current Events:
Honors:
1. Open the worksheet "Analyzing Current Events for the Bill of Rights" . Click on "file" and "make a copy." Title it “your name- Honors Current Event.” Share with Ms. Hite at [email protected]. (Note: YOU CAN DELETE THE SENTENCE FRAMES IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO USE THEM)
2. Go to www.nytimes.com (or other news sites like CNN and BBC) and type in the amendment or topic you are interested in in the search bar. (Example: "Constitutional Amendments," "first amendment," "fourth amendment," "abortion," etc.).
3. Select the option in the search results that says "Times Topics." From here it will show you a list of articles about your topic. Browse through them until you find one that interests you.
3. Or you can select an article from the search results provided if there is no "Times Topics" option. Make sure that you sort by newest released stories.
4. Once you find an article that you are interested in, copy and paste the link into your Google document.
5. Cite your source using www.easybib.com
6. Complete the questions using complete sentences, evidence from your article, and well thought out responses.

password- first name
